Les Acacias Bellevue

I paid 130€ for a dirty, noisy room, and at that price I expected it to be clean. The whole place felt run down, the rooms were old and dirty, and the smell was disgusting. I’d have left straight away if I hadn’t booked ahead. The owner was rude and unfriendly, and I felt like he just wanted to squeeze money out of me. Service seemed to be a foreign concept here. The other staff were bored and unfriendly too. After years of travelling, this is one of the worst hotels I’ve stayed in. The bad reviews are all justified. There’s nothing positive I can say, so do yourself a favor and don’t stay here.

We thought the restaurant meal was too salty, but that was the only downside. It was expensive compared with the hotel, yet absolutely worth it. Those were the best meals we’d had since arriving in France a week earlier, and the fries were the best I’ve ever tasted. The hotel itself was very nice and good value in mid July. Our room was small, but had everything we needed. By bike, it’s quite close to the city center.

We had dinner there and it was excellent, with good service and local ingredients 😀. We stayed one night in a basic but clean room, with a balcony and a view of the lake.

The service was horribly rude. I wouldn’t recommend it.
