Les Chenes Rouges

The dinner Pascal cooked was a real surprise, homemade foie gras, duck confit, then Pavlova for dessert. I’d definitely add the on-site dinner option. Breakfast had the range you’d expect from a B&B, too. We stayed one night the day after Christmas, while I was visiting the area for the first time with my son and daughter-in-law. The rooms were modern, nicely decorated, and suited our needs well. As a retired senior with limited mobility, I booked the accessible room on the first floor and appreciated how thoughtfully it was set up. The heated floors were especially welcome. Sylvie and Pascal made my family feel very welcome. Les Chênes Rouges is a handy base for exploring the Dordogne, close to the tourist sites, including Château Des Milandes, which is a short walk away. I highly recommend staying here.

It’s a quiet, peaceful spot, and Pascal and Sylvie are warm hosts who are happy to have guests. They’re generous with help and advice about the region. We’d happily recommend Les Chênes Rouges as a base for exploring the area.

We had a lovely evening meal there, and the breakfast was excellent. Sylvie and Pascal made us feel so welcome and took great care of us. The gardens and swimming pool are lovely. I’d highly recommend this hotel.

Pascal works at Les Milandes, Josephine Baker’s château down the road, and had some nice stories to tell. We spent three lovely nights at Sylvie and Pascal’s, with good hospitality, gorgeous gardens, and a peaceful setting.
