There are swimming pools, a restaurant, a shop, and a beach, and all the facilities of Camping Farret are available too, including the pools and beach. Since Camping Farret recently took over, some things still need attention. Drinking taps aren’t currently available, the sanitary facilities close at 10 p.m., and that’s not acceptable for this campsite. Dishwashing and chemical toilet emptying facilities should also be closer. Sand covers the campsite, including Farret. There are no pebbles or grass, so it gets dusty and turns muddy when it rains.

We’ve cancelled our reservation, which is a real shame because this used to be a wonderful campsite. It’s no longer enjoyable and seems more suited to people looking for a party atmosphere. Prices have risen, water now costs extra, and Wi-Fi is an added charge. I’m not sure whether TV and air conditioning still cost extra. The site is better maintained now, but the peaceful place we remembered has turned into a thoroughfare for the neighboring campsite, with their cars, motorhomes and golf carts constantly passing through. It’s anything but peaceful.
