We spent a lovely stay in a room tucked away in the countryside, and I’d happily return. The château is a great base for exploring this history-filled area. Our hosts told us fascinating stories about the house and suggested a great place for dinner. Breakfast came with apple juice and fruit from the orchard.

After a long, warm walk, we reached Château the Mesny and were welcomed straight into its lovely garden by Marie-Simone and Pascal. We had a delicious dinner there and a really good conversation with them about walking the GR5 and France’s beautiful landscapes. Our room, like the rest of the château, was beautifully decorated. Breakfast was generous, and they let us make a sandwich and take whatever else we needed for lunch. It felt like being in a fairy tale.

Our one-night stop at this beautifully restored old chateau was a highlight of the holiday. Marie-Simone and Pascal own the place and were such lovely hosts. We had a fabulous evening meal in great company.

Gatsby was a beautiful room in a wonderful chateau, and the hosts made us feel like a prince and princess. Breakfast was a lovely way to finish a great stay.

We stayed in the very spacious building next door, with two very big bedrooms and a large bathroom. The hosts were so friendly and made the atmosphere warm and welcoming. Breakfast was superb, and I’d very much recommend staying here.
