Hotel Restaurant La Passerelle

We spent €250 on dinner for five on Saturday night, and the service was a real letdown. We waited 15 minutes for someone to seat us and another 15 before anyone took our order. We wanted pierrade on the terrace but were told it had to be booked ahead, though that wasn't mentioned on the website, menu, or when we called to book. We had to ask three times for bread and five more times for water. The food was okay, but they had run out of fish from the €28 menu. One person chose another main from the à la carte menu, but they wouldn't let us swap a starter from the €28 menu for an à la carte starter. Someone wanted the melon starter, which was only on the €28 menu, and they wouldn't serve it with the à la carte meal even though it cost more. The waiters leaned over people to serve drinks, and seemed untrained. Staff came across as rude and surly; the only smile came when we paid. The ladies' toilet had no toilet paper, and the holder looked like it had been empty for a while. They were busy, but should have had enough trained staff to handle it.
