Chambres d'hôtes La Vercouline

I didn't stay at the chalet, but I still wanted to leave a review because the communication beforehand was a major red flag. Replies took a long time, though I understand it was peak season. I called to follow up, but nobody was available. Then, after another email exchange, I was asked to pay a 50% deposit before they would draw up the contract. I said I wanted to do this properly and read the contract before paying anything. After that, total silence. Nobody replied to my email, call, or text. The whole approach felt really questionable, and communication was a complete failure. It's a shame, because the place seemed very pleasant.

The room in this real wooden chalet was lovely, with excellent bedding and a spacious bathroom. Breakfast was very good, and the outdoor Scandinavian bath was a nice extra. Thanks to Marianne for her kind welcome. Superb gîte.

Marianne knows the region well and can point you toward places to explore based on what you're interested in. We had a friendly welcome, and breakfast was generous and delicious. The chalet has been beautifully renovated, with great taste and quality materials.

The room was a comfortable little cocoon, and Marianne was welcoming, helpful, and full of good advice. Breakfast was superb, with homemade jams. Best of all was the Nordic bath in the snow beneath a starry sky, an experience you shouldn't miss. If you want a peaceful place to recharge, this exceptional B&B is just right.
