Lionel’s horses are fantastic, and his lessons are both demanding and packed with useful teaching, just how we like them. The rides around the area are beautiful, whether you’re on horseback or biking. We’ve been to the Ource Valley Relais twice in six months with fellow riders, and both visits gave us memories we won’t forget. The cottage is really comfortable, with cool rooms in hot weather and a fireplace when it’s cold. Catherine’s cooking is delicious, and the whole weekend feels like time with family. It’s a great place and a real bargain. Thanks to Catherine, Lionel, and the whole team for making us feel so welcome and bringing us so much joy.

We had a wonderful breakfast and a really warm welcome. Staying in a caravan beside the national forest park was a fantastic experience, with a beautiful setting all around us.

Catherine makes delicious food, including jams she prepares herself. We loved being out in the countryside with horses all around us. A real treat.

We had a lovely evening and a really friendly breakfast. Catherine welcomed us warmly when we arrived on our bikes, planning to camp in zero-degree weather. Thank you!

Lionel is the best, and everything about the place was good for me. The horses are well looked after and trained, the facilities are beautiful, and the location has a lovely, magnificent countryside setting. :-)
