The building is a beautiful, carefully restored 300-year-old place just outside the village, near a river with quite steep banks. The old forge is interesting, and the kitchen is fully equipped. The basics inside let it down, though: bedding, furniture and curtains are all basic, and there was only one nearly empty toilet roll. Several things need maintenance, including a broken light switch, a leaking shower, a stuck curtain and wobbly chairs. That sits oddly alongside the otherwise very strict rules. The accessible rooms could also use more grab bars on the walls.
