Premiere Classe Bordeaux Sud - Villenave d'Ornon

The reception staff were friendly and helpful, but there wasn’t much finesse or class to the facilities. The place looked like it had been built from freight containers. Everything was as advertised, though I got the impression it was used by lorry drivers or perhaps building contractors. With a name like Premiere Classes, I expected it to be good, but it wasn’t.

This is a budget hotel, so don’t expect luxury at 60€. For what I paid, though, my one stay was marvellous. The rooms are tiny, but that makes them feel cozy, and mine was fairly clean with fresh bedsheets and clean pillows. The staff were a real highlight for me, with fluent English and lots of help, even lending me small things like a USB charging cable. The woman who handled my registration was cute, beautiful, nice, and fully professional. They also serve breakfast. If all you need is a bed, a shower, and maybe breakfast, I highly recommend it. A handy place to stop during a two-day road trip, with quick, easy access to the motorway. It was a bit noisy, but the hotel kindly provided earplugs. I would have given it more stars if the air conditioning had worked, the toilet hadn’t kept running, and there had been staff around instead of just an automatic keycard machine. Cheap and fairly cheerful for a budget stay.

I paid 39€ for a room for three, which is a very good price for this category, and there’s free parking. The outside looks old and dirty, but my room was very clean. It’s about a 20-minute drive from Bordeaux downtown.
