Hotel de la poste

Our team of 11 hikers all left delighted. We were welcomed so warmly by Agnes and Valentin during our trek through the Allier gorges. The picnic lunches were fresh and just right, breakfast was hearty, and the original dinner really transported us. Thanks again to you both, and all the best for the future.

We started our GR470 trek here and found a warm welcome, perfect rooms, homemade meals, and a generous breakfast. I’d definitely recommend this place.

Dinner and breakfast were excellent, and the packed lunch the next day met our expectations. We’ll be making their famous lentil parmentier at home for sure 😋. The room was lovely, and Agnès and Valentin made us feel wonderfully at home. The Hôtel de la Poste, which is actually a bed and breakfast, was our first stop on the GR470. I come back every year with friends, thanks to Agnès and Valentin’s warm, friendly hospitality. The Hôtel de la Poste has a magnificent valley view and a large garden. It’s right in the heart of the village, where several walks begin, and just a few steps from the river for swimming, cooling off, or playing log-ball. You can book rooms or the whole gîte. It’s well equipped, with a large reception room for events, a practical big kitchen for groups, and quiet bedrooms upstairs. Thank you, Agnès and Valentin.
