ibis budget Lille Villeneuve d'Ascq

Parking is free, and there's free access to a water fountain. My room was clean and warm, with towels changed each day. The ensuite is compact but fine. The TV was okay, though only English news channels were available, and Wi-Fi was free.

The staff were the one bright spot, very welcoming and helpful. The rest left us more tired than when we checked in after a one-night stop between Olympic matches. The bathroom wasn't clean, there was a strong mouldy smell, the A/C didn't work, and noise kept bothering us overnight. The bed was painfully hard, with miserable pillows and duvet. We chose a budget stay ourselves, but at 100€ for a 10m2 highway hotel room at this standard, I wouldn't recommend spending your money here.

The rooms are very small, so keep that in mind if you need space. Still, the hotel is well located, very clean, and the service is friendly and efficient. I think it's well worth what you pay.

Good value if all you need is somewhere to sleep at night. The rooms are really small, suitable for just one person, and there's no cupboard, lift or air conditioning. Breakfast is available as an option, and hygiene is looked after.
