Les Bugadières

I was passing through the Alpes-Maritimes region and booked a room at this hotel. Everything went smoothly. The young man who greeted us was friendly and very helpful. The rooms were spacious and clean, and the service was great. Excellent value for money. I highly recommend it!

For €70 a night, this was filthy, ruined and close to unsanitary. The room was shabby, in an unacceptable state of disrepair and cleanliness. There was mold on the wooden baseboards, dust on the ceiling, a filthy toilet, ancient bedding and urine stains on the radiator. The light fixture above the shower was loose. The TV remote was sticky, with some broken buttons and functions, especially the volume control. The doorknob was grimy, and there wasn’t even a trash can in the room. There was noise, bad smells and more. It makes you wonder if there are any health inspections in the Alpes-Maritimes!

I picked this place because the village is so charming, but I won't stay here again. The hotel is run-down, and our room was old and dirty. We booked a ground-floor room through Booking.com, yet the room we got didn't match the photos or what we'd reserved. No one was there to welcome us. I hadn't received any message, so I'm glad I called: the person on the phone said it was self-service and the keys would be on the room doors. I've never experienced anything like that. What a letdown. Avoid it.

The owner tried to charge us the next day, saying we hadn't shown up, then insulted and threatened us through Booking.com. Nobody had attended to us, and we ended up finding somewhere else to sleep. The place was nothing like the photos: broken, dirty, damp, and smelly. I'd rate it lower if I could. Easily the worst experience of my life.
