Villa Velvet

The location was handy, close to everything we needed, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout. Our room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and everything seemed well maintained. It was a calm, welcoming place. We'd definitely stay again and recommend it to others.

It was nice to stay somewhere that doesn't feel like a chain hotel. Having a basic cooking setup in the room was useful, and the beach, supermarket, and restaurants are all within walking distance. I don't need a 24-hour reception. It felt like having our own place, without other guests or those stinky hotel corridors. I'd come again.

The area was quiet and convenient, with the beach, supermarkets, and a bus to Nice nearby. But we paid €2000 for 10 days, and the refrigerator was left open and full of mold when we arrived (see photos). We were in room 05 on the ground floor, which had a small garden. The room had a noticeable smell unless we opened the windows and doors to air it out. We bought cleaning products at a nearby supermarket and cleaned the fridge and stove ourselves (see photos). For this price, we expected much better cleanliness and service. We won't return. I can give it no more than 3 stars. This review reflects our own experience and is meant to inform other guests. We hope the accommodation pays more attention to hygiene in the future.

We've been here for the third time, coming about every second year, and it's nice to see the same friendly and helpful staff. Everything is clean and feels safe. For a long weekend, the place works perfectly, especially if you're happy to make breakfast or a snack at home. There's a huge supermarket five minutes away on foot, though service there is very slow, and there are plenty of restaurants if you're not too much of a gourmand. Renting a car gives you much better choices for eating out. I like the place a lot. This time, I found the service in many restaurants in France a bit nervous and unfriendly, though maybe we were just unlucky. Enjoy your stay!
