We spent a week touring the Dordogne, then it was heaven to return to La Damiche for another two weeks. We enjoyed our familiar walks and found some new ones too. Pookie, Michel's ten month old puppy, was a lovely new addition to his family of pets. We went into Villereal most days to relax and enjoy the atmosphere at the Cafe Moderne and Maggies tea room. We're already looking forward to visiting the area and staying at La Damiche again next year.

We had a very good weekend at La Damiche, with plenty of helpful tips from Michel for exploring the area. We followed all his suggestions and had plenty to do. He welcomed us warmly, and his two adorable companions greeted us too. We were able to use the pool when we arrived, which was lovely, though the dogs were excited and noisy while we swam. Breakfast was a real treat, with local products and a table full of delicious things. We could choose when to eat. Michel prepared it outside, which may explain why the dogs woke us an hour before the alarm on all three mornings. Our rooms were pleasant and quiet otherwise. We also enjoyed the plancha grill, though there was a €10 usage fee. I have gestational diabetes and couldn't eat sugar, so I asked for three eggs one morning. They charged €3 for them when we were leaving, without warning us beforehand, which was a shame.

We stayed for two nights as a couple with our dog, and had a lovely time. Our dog especially enjoyed playing with Michel's two adorable dogs. Michel was attentive and did everything he could to make us happy. Breakfast was generous and delicious, served on the terrace with views over the pool and countryside. This bed and breakfast is in the countryside, less than 2 km from Villeréal, with real peace and quiet. We highly recommend it, and thank you again for the lovely stay.

Such a refreshing stay, and I'm really glad I got to meet Michel. He was welcoming and attentive, and the service and little details were unlike anything I've experienced in a hotel. I highly recommend this bed and breakfast.
