We were asked to leave by the owner after I tried to raise a concern about our health, and I felt Americans weren't welcome. Being asked to go turned out to be a blessing in disguise. Before that, the clutter in the front area was unbelievable. Waiting for dinner felt like being surrounded by yard sale items, and at our table I had to lean away from bushes and plants to keep them out of my face and food. The waiter kept coughing behind me and at the table while serving us. Spending a week in Evian with my friends had been special until I entered this place. It seemed to be mostly locals, and I got the sense that was all the owner wanted. Stay away, and read reviews wherever you go while traveling in Evian.

The half board was excellent, with dinner chosen from a menu and a good breakfast. I stayed here while doing the GTJ. Just be aware it only opens at 17:30. Fortunately, the weather was good.

The welcome was friendly, and the people were lovely. The food was great too 😀. Don't miss the special breakfast preserve made from fir tree...bourgeons de sapin, or the excellent Rabasse beer!
