ibis Creil Sur Oise

I usually stay at this hotel when I’m in Creil, and the room and breakfast are quite good. But on my last visit, I left my LV hand luggage and another bag in the storage room. When I came back, my luggage was missing. Only staff have a key to that room, and there are cameras, so I can’t understand how the bags disappeared without anyone noticing or seeing anything on camera. I’m very unhappy with how this is being handled and am still waiting for the hotel to share any new information about what happened. Important documents and valuables shouldn’t go missing from a locked storage room without someone knowing something. Someone has information. I’ll come back and update this when the situation is resolved.

I’ve spent quite a lot of time in this part of the world for work and have always liked Ibis hotels because they offer good value. This one is no different. What stands out here is how friendly the team is. They’re always ready with a smile and very helpful when something goes wrong.

The location is handy for park Asterix, château de Chantilly, and Paris. Still, I’d book somewhere else. The hotel seems past its best. There’s no air conditioning or elevator, the furniture is very old, and the mattress clearly hadn’t been replaced in a long time. I was there with two kids and my pregnant girlfriend, and they put us on the third floor despite my mentioning the pregnancy in the reservation. On top of that, work was being done to renovate the stairs. Breakfast was terrible. The McDonald's 200 meters away does a better one for less money.

The staff were very friendly, and there are plenty of free parking spaces. The rooms are basic, but comfortable and clean, with comfortable beds. A practical, good-value place to stay, especially if you’re on the road.
