The location in Vincennes was a big plus, and at 109 euro a night in summer the price seemed reasonable. We slept well on the comfortable bed, though the room itself was small, and breakfast was adequate despite the tight serving space. Staff at reception were polite but not especially engaging. The bathroom and shower were cleaned daily when requested, which was excellent. There was a pedestal fan, and we really needed it since the hotel has no air-conditioning. I’d recommend staying here, but ask for a room on the first or second level: there’s no lift and the stairs are narrow if you’re carrying large suitcases.

The decor looked great and the view was nice, and the bed was soft. Rates were normal, about 100 euro a night. I’m taking off a star because there’s no elevator.

The room was spacious, very clean, and decorated in a delicate, elegant style. The shower was good, with plenty of hot water, and the customer service was good too. The entrance has picturesque decor that evokes the medieval past and suits the spirit of the Chateau of Vincennes. It’s well placed for views of the Chateau and Bois de Vincennes, with Berault and Vincennes stations nearby. There are supermarkets and restaurants close by, including a popular Indian just below the hotel. Definitely a good choice when you’re in Paris.

Vincennes is a pretty town, and it’s easy to get into central Paris by metro. The staff were lovely and helpful. I skipped breakfast, since there are nicer options nearby. The spiral stairs up to the third or fourth level could be tricky for some people.
