B&B HOTEL Blois Sud Vineuil

The breakfast costs extra, but it was really good, especially those buttery croissants. The room was tiny yet comfortable, with nice beds that our boys loved, particularly the bunk beds. The bathroom was cramped too, and there was barely enough legroom to sit on the toilet. There isn’t space to hang out or walk around, so this place is mostly for sleeping. It’s also a little hard to find, since it’s out toward the edge of town. I’d stay here again if I came back to Blois.

The host made the biggest impression on me. They were attentive and genuinely upbeat and welcoming, which can be hard to come across, especially in France. We’ve had good experiences at other Hotel B&Bs too. This one is a budget option without extras, just as we expected. The room felt dated and the bathroom was small but adequate. The bed was comfortable enough.

I chose this hotel because of the earlier reviews, and the reality shocked me. The rooms were noisy and had no real sound insulation. The location wasn’t great, and at least one bathroom had water damage and mold. The price was the only good part.

I arrived late, around 22:00, after reception had closed, and was still able to make the whole reservation at the machine. That was really convenient. A 24-hour reception would of course be more comfortable and easier, but using the machine helps keep the price reasonable, which suits me better.
