Le Petit Clos

The lovely greenery around the gîte made the week especially relaxing. It was warm and welcoming inside too, and everything was very well kept. We had a wonderful stay and would happily recommend it to anyone after a friendly, restful break.

The house worked really well for our family weekend, and we all had a lovely, quiet time there. There were 8 adults and 6 children, so the sunny terrace and play area were a real hit with the kids. Thanks to the owners for making us feel so welcome. We hope to come back!

The garden's children's play equipment and the pool table were the only real positives, though the table's base was quite unstable. The welcome itself was pleasant, but the stay went downhill quickly. The place was said to have been cleaned, yet we found cobwebs, a water bottle under the bed, and a shower that didn't seem very hygienic. The bed was "broken" and propped up with wedges, which we were told was apparently normal, lol. We'd rented the gîte for two and a half days for a family group of 13 adults and children. On Saturday, until 2 pm, we couldn't shower or use the toilet because the pipes were blocked and sewage was coming back up through both. We reported it and they responded, but a company wasn't called until 2 pm. The owner wasn't very friendly by then. When we asked for some kind of compensation as we left, they refused. Just so you know...

This was a really unpleasant way to end our time here, and we're not renting this place again. We used to come as a big family of adults and book several rooms in this previously pleasant gîte. The shared areas were a great place to sit together on the sofa or around the pool table. This time we'd booked every room, but were told the pool table was available "only if you book the entire gîte." At 11:00 AM, the manager also clearly told us to leave the common areas because we hadn't booked access to them. We were barely at 11:00 AM when we were told to leave our rooms too, in case new guests arrived at 2:00 PM. Even though we're good customers and had all the rooms, we felt abruptly pushed out, especially since check-out usually happens calmly around noon.
