Château de Wallerand

The breakfast setup made for a frustrating wait: one staff member was handling both breakfast service and check-outs, and it took a long time. There wasn't much to choose from for food or drinks, and several items were past their expiration dates. The rooms were very nice, and the staff were friendly.

We tried the kiwi dessert and loved it. The rooms were lovely, and everyone was kind. It's such a fairytale of a place. We'd love to return someday and spend longer there.

The little spa has a sauna, hammam, and small pool, which was enough for us. Breakfast was à la carte with lots of choices, and parking right by the entrance was free, with electric car charging available. We had a baby with us and were given a Stokke babycot with a Koeka blanket. Everything felt top quality, from the Diptyque toiletries, fluffy towels, and bathrobes to the Philippe Starck lamps and mirrored sockets. The recently renovated rooms combine wood and marble with lovely accessories, and ours was spotless. I walked around barefoot and didn't find any dust. We had an amazing weekend at Chateau de Wallerand. The hotel has been renovated with great taste, and the whole stay felt like a 10/10, well worth the price and then some.

Phillipe and Adelle were fantastic hosts, warm and always checking what they could do for us. Their welcome is what made the hotel feel worth writing about. We stayed three nights after looking for a nice spa hotel in the region, and it was a real pleasure. The remodeled rooms were spacious, well appointed, and had a clean bathroom and shower. There’s a steam room, sauna, and small pool in the relaxing on-site spa. We also loved the patio and its views of the river, bridge, and village.
