Le Pigeonnier de la Mouline

Those huge windows looking out over the countryside feel like a striking painting. The house is lovely for a relaxing weekend, all on one level and very nicely renovated. I didn't get to use the big pool since I was only there one evening in November, but it definitely makes me want to come back.

We came with my family for a weekend to rediscover my region, and really enjoyed being surrounded by all that greenery. The owner was friendly and helpful. The cottage was clean and well cared for, with a distinctive mix of modern and medieval charm. We highly recommend it and will certainly stay again on our next trips to the Tarn. Thank you.

The pool situation left us very disappointed. We booked a place with a pool, then on arrival were told the heated pool wasn't ready because its liner had apparently broken a month earlier. We weren't informed in time. We were told it would be ready Saturday, the day we were leaving. We still paid full price, with no discount, reduction, or apology, after travelling 800 kilometers for a pool that wasn't available. I'd invited my family to enjoy it, so three children and four parents were disappointed. The owner seemed not to understand, and while she complained about losing her season, she kept the payment for our three nights without offering a discount. There was also a worker installing the liner for a day and the pump running for two days. It was unbearable to hear anything else, but that apparently didn't count because the season was lost. The property itself is idyllic, with greenery everywhere, and the little house was extremely clean and beautifully decorated. The thoughtful extras, like paper towels and dishwasher tablets, were a nice touch, which you don't often get. I do think the place deserves five stars in peak season when the pool is open, but the owner's understanding and honesty were terribly lacking. I'd still recommend it once the pool has been repaired.

The beds were so comfortable, just like home, and the interior is modern and beautifully renovated. We had a fantastic time with colleagues in this charming place. The owner was lovely and incredibly friendly, too. Thanks again, we'll definitely be back 😊
