Hotel Bonsai

If zero stars were an option, I’d give it that. This “hotel” is disgraceful, especially since it’s partly funded by the state. Shameful.

The room door was smashed in during the night, and the staff didn’t seem to care. It’s freezing at night because there’s no heating. The place is extremely expensive and filthy, with tiny rooms, dust everywhere, broken blinds and windows that won’t close. There wasn’t even a remote to turn on the TV. The only reason I’m giving one star is the soap and towel. I strongly advise against staying here.

I left after about an hour and drove home. The room was freezing, and the bed linen was dirty, with stains, hair and lint. It also smelled of tobacco even though I’d asked for a non-smoking room. The website photos are misleading. I wasn’t offered compensation, despite barely using the room. Reception was adequate, at least.

The welcome was cold, and the room was too. It felt unsanitary, with dust that, in my opinion, hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. The heating smelled dusty and didn’t keep the room warm, and the duvet was no thicker than 1 mm. An airlock door wouldn’t close and kept slamming all night. At 42 euros, this feels like pure theft. I’d advise sleeping in your car if you have no choice. This place doesn’t deserve to be called a hotel, and should be removed from hotel listings and closed. The people running it should be ashamed to offer such a poor experience at this price.
