The receptionist was lovely and really helpful. That's the only good thing I can say. I paid EUR 27 to include dinner, then found the voucher only covered a few pretty awful menu options. It wasn't close to worth that amount. Since the hotel is in the middle of nowhere with no restaurants nearby, I ended up ordering pizza from UBER eats. The woman who seemed to run the restaurant had little courtesy or customer service sense, and came across like a prison guard. The rooms are so basic that mine made me think of a prison cell. This is far below what I'd expect of an 'Ibis Styles'. The hallway carpets are stained and worn, and apart from the reception, which looks recently refurbished, the place feels past its best. The website photos are very flattering. It's also a stretch to call it 'at the airport', since it's 15 minutes away by UBER, on the edge of an industrial estate. Not terrible, but nowhere near worth what I paid.

The staff were great, especially Miss Chiara, who was so nice and professional, and Mr Said at reception, who was kind and professional too. The cleaning ladies did a great job keeping everything tidy and clean. The pool is great as well. A lovely spot to recharge before or after a flight. I'll come back!

We were eight people arriving very late, but check-in was quick and easy. The next morning we had a decent buffet breakfast, then the complimentary minibus took us to the train station. That was excellent.

The industrial estate location added to the down-market feel, and the reception staff didn't seem interested when I raised the problems. I was here for two nights on a business trip. The room smelled bad the whole time, the toilet hadn't been cleaned, and the bathroom cleanliness was below standard. I won't return or recommend it.

The room we were given was already occupied, or squatted in, by what seemed like smugglers. It felt unsafe, dirty, and stank. I can't understand how people accept this. There was a stench, dust getting in your eyes, puke stains, a shady crowd and staff, and a failed industrial look that brought train bathrooms to mind. I'm a farmer used to living without running water or electricity, and this felt more disgusting than any pit toilet I've been in. Nothing stylish about this, and it's the biggest joke of a slum I've ever seen. Marseille's forced holiday, I guess. Air Transat put us here. If you're into masochism, maybe it's an amazing experience. Otherwise, don't come, fly Air Transat, or book Ibis Styles.
