The breakfast was edible, though the choice was limited, and the bed and linen were acceptable. The rest of the room needed attention: it looked nothing like the online photos, felt shabby, and the fabric could use some care. There was no hot water either morning or evening, and the heaters barely worked, so we had to ask for another one. A bedside lamp had come apart and I fixed its wing nut myself. Even drawing the curtains was awkward because a shelf had been placed badly. We were charged twice after a mix-up at payment, but when we pointed it out, the proprietor reimbursed us. We stayed here twice years ago and found it satisfactory, which made this visit all the more surprising after reading other reviews. It could be a handy stop for tired travelers, but the details need more attention.

Lovely city, clean rooms, and a low price. We arrived late, but the staff were kind and helped us get inside. The room was cozy and had everything we needed. Wonderful stay.

For the price, this place is a real find. The lady who runs it is friendly and the rooms are clean and perfectly acceptable. There's no food at the hotel, but plenty of restaurants are just a 5-10 minute walk away. They also have free coffee in the morning.

We were two tired English pilgrims, and the owner and staff were wonderfully helpful from the moment we arrived. The room was quiet, clean, and comfortable, and we slept without being disturbed after turning in at 9:30 pm. It's a friendly family-run place, with a reasonably priced set dinner and an all-you-can-eat breakfast. Very good value for money.

Handy place to break up a trip to or from the Alps. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, the linen good quality, and the price modest. But there wasn't enough hot water in the bathroom, either in the evening or the morning. When I mentioned it to staff, they blamed the hotel being fully booked, which plainly wasn't true. Breakfast was poor too, with no butter and not enough pastries for the guests. The nearby café would be a better choice.
