Les Carriers Maison D'hôtes

We found the rooms wonderfully quiet, with soft sheets and towels, spotless surroundings, comfortable beds, and a lovely shower. The air conditioning was quiet too. Francois and Christina made our family of five feel right at home. We enjoyed taking the nice trail down to Vogue each evening, and the pool had a great view across the valley. Breakfast was excellent, and it was especially nice that our teenage children could eat whenever they woke up. Five stars all round.

The dinner was the highlight of our stay. Francois and Christine are incredible cooks, and honestly, it felt Michelin-star quality. Be sure to book it if you're staying off-season, since they don't offer dinner in summer. They also built the home and suites themselves, and the result is extraordinary. Our Cote Sud room came with a high-quality jacuzzi, not one of those square molded plastic tubs, and it was wonderfully hot in February. I only wish we'd been there in summer to enjoy the beautiful deck and pool. Merci à vous, Francois et Christine!

The house is tucked away enough that you don't feel you're getting in the way of the hosts' daily routine. Francois and his wife are fantastic, offering breakfast each day and sharing a wealth of local knowledge. There are walking trails nearby with stunning views of the village. A real gem if you find it.

We had a fantastic time. Vogue is picturesque, with good restaurants and bars, and the pool was lovely even in the rain. The rooms felt like a home away from home, and the hosts were great company. Breakfast and the food were both great too.
