The hostess made us feel right at home in this beautiful, one-of-a-kind house. We spent three days there, enjoying its comfortable rooms and beds, the distinctive antique furnishings, and a phenomenal breakfast made in-house that changed every day. If you're visiting the Loire region, La Closeraie won't disappoint.

I slept like a baby during my two days at La Closeraie. Corinne Berthier runs this charming guesthouse, where my large room was comfortable and the bedding was perfect. Breakfast was a generous feast of local products, prepared by the hostess and served on beautiful tableware. The whole house is tastefully decorated, and each room invites you to relax and discover a stunning region.

The highlight of our stay was the incredible breakfast. It left us with an unforgettable memory of the house. The dining room is in an amazing cave, while the bedrooms and lounge are in a lovely tuffeau stone house. If you’re looking for an unusual place to sleep in the Loire Valley, this 18th-century guesthouse is partly troglodytic and would suit you well.

We had a really pleasant stay. The welcome was warm, the setting charming and traditional, and the cave dining room beautiful. Our room was very comfortable, with a lovely bathroom, and breakfast was plentiful and delicious, all homemade. A place worth seeing!
