Le Castel des Anges

This is a handy stop if you're driving across the country, just off the main road. The building is absolutely stunning and the host is fantastic. The town is very quiet, with no restaurants within walking distance, but busy Montreuil is only five minutes away.

The breakfast really earns its praise, delicious and enough to set you on your way with a full stomach. Every room has its own theme and thoughtful details, and the castle is dotted with art and statues. The estate is beautiful, the hosts superb, and the whole experience was beyond what I could imagine. This was the best stay I've ever had in France. I can't imagine staying anywhere else.

We had an incredible time at Le Castel des Anges when my partner, family, and I visited in December. Sandrine was a wonderful host, helping us find nearby markets and a great local restaurant. Ms. Joly booked it for us personally, and it turned out fantastic. The rooms were beautiful, warm, and clean, with very comfortable beds, and the surrounding area was just as stunning. The whole visit felt surreal. If you're driving through Nord Pas de Calais, don't miss this lovely spot, about an hour from Calais Port. Merci beaucoup!!

We've stayed here four times, usually as a stopover, but this visit was for six nights. Sandrine and Dominique make guests feel at home and treat them like friends. The house is a delightful find, like a small Georgian manor, with large, comfortable rooms that are stylishly decorated and well cared for. As the name suggests, angels feature in the tasteful decor, alongside fine furniture in the rooms we've stayed in. Breakfast is excellent, with homemade breads and confectionery.
