Hello, We urgently booked the "Hélico" room for two people after a death in the family. It was listed at €87. We were then charged an extra €15 for the sofa bed, a fee that wasn't mentioned anywhere. The phone and in-person reception were extremely minimal: we were handed the bill and key, told the room was upstairs, and told to leave the keys when we left. The room and bathroom weren't heated when we arrived, and after a 600 km drive the bed was freezing. The included "breakfast" was very basic. There was nowhere to sit and drink the coffee pods, nowhere sheltered to smoke outside in the rain, and the parking lot was wet and muddy. After we got home, I read the website reviews and found the same complaints: poor soundproofing, no heating on arrival, very noisy toilets, mini coffee and milk pods, croissants left out the night before, nowhere to drink coffee or smoke outside the room, and a 25-character Wi-Fi password. I don't understand the rating for this establishment, which is listed among the top 10 accommodations in Wambrechies (59118). I feel I have to report this because I rent out a detached 80 m² house in 70270, in the Plateau des 1000 Étangs region. It sleeps 4 to 6 people and has a basement, garage, enclosed garden, two bedrooms, a bathroom, separate toilet, fully equipped kitchen with coffee, milk and sugar, verandas, living room and linens. I'll be posting a review because this accommodation doesn't match the price charged. The rooms were spacious and clean, and the cottage itself is beautiful and seems well kept. It's in a pleasant setting, but the welcome was very cold. The owner demanded the keys and payment at the start, and kept making unpleasant remarks. She made us park farther away at the end of a muddy, unlit road, even though we only needed to bring the cars into the courtyard to load and unload our suitcases. We had to ask permission. What a welcome. Breakfast was two packaged, industrial madeleines and instant coffee. To make it, we had to get a kettle from the landing in the cold hallway, shared by all the rooms. Why not have one kettle in each room? The walls between rooms were so thin that we could hear every little noise from next door. The place could be nice with more attention to guests.
