Logis Hôtel La Palette

We only went to the restaurant, not the hotel, and it was an amazing experience. I chose the Chef's surprise menu, and everything was incredible, from the presentation and flavors to the whole experience. With those beautiful local wines too, I felt like I'd died and gone to heaven!

A practical spot for getting to Colmar. The rooms aren't expensive, and breakfast is adequate.

HOTEL What a disastrous stay. The hotel is outdated and extremely poorly maintained. There's no elevator or A/C, and the stairs aren't properly lit. Dusty carpet covers the whole place, which was terrible for someone like me with allergies. Our room was a nightmare, with a moldy bathroom and spiders and other insects wandering around. We showed the receptionist photos, but they didn't even apologize for the inconvenience and were extremely rude. Because of the bathroom's unhygienic condition, we used it only for basic needs. Checkout is at 11:00. At 11:01, we were literally just leaving the room with the door open when the phone rang and we were told we were late. Maybe they should focus on housekeeping and renovating the hotel instead of yelling at guests over a ONE MINUTE delay. Avoid this place at all costs. RESTAURANT The food and service were good, though overpriced. That was the only positive part of our stay.

We've eaten here twice over the past year, and both meals were excellent. The food is inventive, delicious, and served in unusually generous portions. Nice ambiance, friendly staff, and a good wine list. Looking forward to another visit.
