The welcome was very warm, and there's lots of free parking plus a garden where you can sit. The town centre is a five-minute walk along the river. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with a good shower and a comfortable bed. I would have liked firmer pillows. Breakfast was excellent, and the beautiful boiled eggs were especially welcome.

The breakfast room is really lovely, breakfast was good, and you can park for free. The owner is very friendly. The problem was the cold: our rooms, including the bathroom, were very cold, and the hotel hall was too.

The family suite was nicely arranged and well heated, and the room itself was fine. But the arrival was very unpleasant. A hostile woman, who seemed to be the manager, hadn't seen our reservation made on the hotel's website the day before. We weren't responsible for the mix-up, yet she made us feel very unwelcome. She showed us to the room and came back to change the towels, which we didn't really understand. By the next day she had softened, and the other staff members were all very smiley. I still give four stars for the room, but the welcome didn't deserve that rating. Guests shouldn't be made to feel unwelcome when they arrive.

Hotel Weiss has an older style with plenty of flair, and the rooms are large compared with other hotels in Wissembourg. The owner welcomed us warmly, gave us a quick tour, and showed us to our room. Breakfast was delicious. I'd definitely book again. Thank you for your hospitality, Hotel Weissđź‘Ś
