We found the setting beautiful, clean, and relaxing, with a comfortable room, and it’s genuinely sad to leave a review when the property has so much potential. The reception staff were cordial, but at this price we expected service to match the hotel’s standard, and it was disappointing that nobody spoke English. A few times, waiters walked away when they heard us speaking English, since everyone spoke only French. We also ate at Hôtel & Spa Jardin de Sophie’s restaurant, which is presented as high-end, and had several problems. The language barrier meant our requests were often misunderstood, the wine arrived after the first appetizers, and the premium bottle was served warm. The waitress poured wine for my male partner without asking who wanted to taste it. As a woman and a certified sommelier, I could have been the one to taste it, and I found that unacceptable in 2025. There were also very long waits between courses. The hotel and its surroundings are lovely and well kept, but communication and restaurant service need improvement, even if there aren’t many Italian or international guests.

We had a wonderful stay, and the room was spotless and cozy. The staff were friendly, professional, and very helpful. My husband has serious food allergies, and the restaurant took good care of us. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, with creative attention to detail from the chef. It deserves a Michelin star. Thank you so much.

A gorgeous place to slow down and get out into nature. There are plenty of walks nearby, and it makes a great base for exploring everything the Alsace/Vosges region has to offer. The food, wine, and facilities were exceptional.

I’ve been here before, and I’d still return for the gorgeous setting and wonderful food. But this visit came with a surprise: the weekend menu was a fixed-price one at 60€ ahead. With wine and a morning in the spa, it turned into an expensive outing. I’d checked the website beforehand, but all the information was incorrect, including the restaurant hours and menu. That all needs updating post Covid. It’s a lovely little spa and a great restaurant tucked away in the Vosges forest near Xonrupt-Longemer, but I’d check the details by phone first.
