The hosts were really welcoming, and a few of them speak fluent English, which helped when our French let us down. We enjoyed the regular Tuesday music evening, and they kindly put out home-baked gluten-free cake every day. We stayed three nights in this family-run place. The pool was warm and long enough for a swim, and the sauna was a nice spot to unwind afterwards. Our room had an unusual old-meets-new feel, with traditional features under the roof alongside thoughtful details like USB charging points and Wi-Fi.

The host was so friendly and helpful, and they left us a box of fresh, delicious vegetables in the cottage. It was a lovely family-friendly place to stay. Our cottage had everything we needed, and the pool and grounds were amazing. We'd highly recommend it.

We came back for a second visit and found it just as delightful and relaxing, with a very comfortable gîte. The lovely countryside, cliff walks, and plenty of interesting places are all within easy reach. There isn't anywhere to walk to from the property, which feels a bit like being at home. You have a private patio, plus shared facilities. And remember to save your food scraps for the chickens on site.

The welcome at check-in was lovely, and the lady there was very helpful. The rented bedding was good quality and the bed reasonably comfortable, but I found it annoying to pay extra for bedding and towels. Who travels across the globe with their own bedding? Besides, ours wouldn't have fitted this bed. The room was clean and fairly functional, and warm enough that we didn't need heating. There are some nice things about the accommodation, but it felt like a tiny doll's house and wasn't very practical. The listing says there's Wi-Fi, yet the reception was effectively nonexistent. I had to stand outside in pouring rain just to try to connect. It also mentions an oven, but what's there is only a tiny countertop one.
