The bed was comfortable and gave me somewhere to rest, but that’s about the best I can say. Dinner was mediocre, the morning coffee was weak, and the bread was inedible. Le Bourbon is mediocre at best, and calling it mediocre is generous. It seems geared toward older guests and people staying for work. If you want more than a bed, look elsewhere.

The service was good and the Haute-Loire cooking, especially the meat and cheese, was lovely. It’s a great gourmet restaurant, though the evening menu isn’t cheap. A very nice experience.

I only tried the restaurant. The staff were friendly, though the interior felt a bit dated. The food was average for the price.

The gourmet-style dishes looked like art, and they were served beautifully and with kindness. An incredible place.
