The owner’s wife brought us homemade grapes as an apology for the shower issue, which was a kind gesture. Still, the stay was frustrating. We were three on holiday, and the owners came by around four times a day, saying they were there to have fun, but kept checking that we hadn’t broken anything and were keeping things tidy. The cold water was leaking; after we asked for help, the owner spent two days trying to fix it, and we had to help or he would have taken even longer. The cabin itself is small and very poorly equipped, though the accommodation might be pretty good if you’re on your own. They charge €20 to make the bed and take another €200 as a “deposit.” There were loads of mosquitoes, and no window screens to keep them out. If you can, I’d suggest choosing somewhere else.

The valley view is splendid, and the chalets are both very clean and well equipped. It’s a magnificent, peaceful setting, with friendly, attentive owners. Thanks for the bread and for the motorbike 😉

The hosts are friendly, and the chalet is practical. The valley view is lovely, too. One catch: sheets cost extra at €10 per set, and towels are extra as well, though this isn’t mentioned when booking. There’s no shower gel provided.

They called at 8 p.m. the night before our stay to say they couldn’t take us, even though we’d booked by phone and called twice to confirm. We’d also phoned repeatedly because we were traveling with a one-month-old baby and didn’t want to be left without a place at the last minute. They didn’t even apologize. Such a shame, I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. Also, you need to bring your own sheets or pay for them, and you have to do the cleaning yourself.

You’ll find a warm, friendly welcome in this pleasant spot in the heart of Corsica’s mountains and food country. It’s a remarkable place if you want to get off the beaten track. If you stay here, don’t miss the Pacifique Sud restaurant. The Pig Museum in Cozzano is also worth discovering if you like good, authentic Corsican charcuterie from free-range animals. Just watch out: the free-range animals are on the roads too! Expect plenty of laughs and fun.
