Aberdeen Serviced Apartments - The Lodge

The apartments are lovely for a short break, with clean, warm rooms and all the appliances and facilities you need. They leave a continental breakfast in the fridge too, which is handy if you arrive late. 10/10 from me. The only downside is that it can be hard to find at night.

There’s plenty of natural light, and the practical layout makes the place feel bigger than I expected. It was a great stay: clean, thoughtfully set up, and well maintained.

We’ve stayed at the Lodge three times now, and it’s still somewhere I’d happily recommend. The apartments are spotless, the continental breakfasts are fresh, and it’s quiet despite being close to the Great North Road. There’s enough street parking, too. I just hope it doesn’t get so popular that I can’t book it next time. A few small things show its age now that the lodge has been open for a few years: a broken toilet seat, cracked tiles, a missing toilet roll holder, and a freezer door that doesn’t open with the outer door. In the grand scheme, those are minor.

It’s a good base for exploring, and I’ve stayed here twice now and would come back. Getting in was easy, and the location is very convenient. The apartment was clean, with a good shower, lots of towels, a hairdryer, and an ironing board. The bathroom tiles could use some maintenance, though, and the window blinds let in light and make the room feel colder. The kitchen is very well equipped, with nearly every utensil you could need to cook a meal. There’s also a large TV and DVD player. Wi-Fi was slow, so I ended up using my own 4G stick.
