Cove Bay Hotel

The restaurant was busy with people who weren’t staying at the hotel, which says a lot about the food. It was superb. My room was small, but cosy and warm. I’d happily come back when I’m in the area.

We stopped at the cove bay hotel while we were in cove last week, and I’m so glad we did. The restaurant was clean, welcoming, and nicely presented, with a great menu to choose from. I had the venison with vegetables and jus, while my friend went for macaroni cheese. Both dishes were delicious, and the cooking was excellent. The venison was perfectly cooked, fresh, and came with lovely vegetables; the macaroni had a beautiful cheese topping. It was a lively place to sit and eat, and the atmosphere was delightful. The staff were so friendly, and the owner was a lovely gentleman. Everyone made us feel looked after. The cove bay hotel is right beside the small sheltered bay, and they really go the extra mile. We asked for a room without too many steps and got one almost level with the facilities, which we really appreciated. It was cosy even with the wind howling outside, and we loved it. The afternoon bar staff were friendly and chatty, with a really enjoyable atmosphere. Dinner service was top notch, and both our meals were fantastic. The dining room was busy, and everyone seemed to be having a lovely evening. Breakfast was just as good, with first class food and service, so we left full. From the moment we arrived to heading home, our stay at the cove bay hotel was perfect. It’s one of our favourite nights away, and we’ll definitely return soon, I hope. Thanks again to all the staff, you’re great.

We had another superb pre-Christmas lunch here with our family of 8. The staff were attentive and everything went smoothly. I’ve also celebrated a special birthday here. I highly recommend the Cove Bay Hotel.
