The restaurant food is good value, and the beds are super comfy. Full English or Continental breakfasts are cooked to order, with excellent poached eggs and bacon, and fantastic black pudding. The sausages were badly cooked and the plates were cold. A great place to stay for an early flight or a late arrival.

The location is good for the airport and the price isn't too bad for staying there, but I won't return until the place is cleaned and remodelled. The staff are friendly and helpful, a credit to their employers. The windows by the entrance are filthy, and the dated reception isn't welcoming, with the look of a fairly high-class flophouse. Heating is controlled, and the shower spits out hot water. It feels like everything is set to miser mode. And if you want to log into Netflix or YouTube, you'll be stuck with Freeview.

The staff were superb, and the double room was only £52. The hotel is handy for the airport, though a bit dated, much like a standard Premier Inn. The food was okay but pricey: the Smothered chicken (hunters) was £14.49, and the £7.29 Lemon & raspberry semifreddo was a thin slice and felt a bit of a rip-off. There's a Greggs in the terminal, a two-minute walk away. Wish we'd gone there for food.

I had a broken leg, and the staff couldn't have been kinder. They helped move me to a room near reception with assistance handles and offered to bring food up. The food was great and served until 10pm. Good value too, with a really warm, friendly atmosphere.

This is easily the most run-down Premier Inn I've stayed in, and I've stayed in a lot. It looks nothing like the stock photos of their other hotels. The whole place is very tired and badly needs an upgrade.
