We usually have afternoon tea there, but because Mum's health has declined, I ordered a takeaway today. The sandwiches were soft and lovely as always, and the scones with jam and little pots of fresh cream were lovely too. There were lots of delicious cakes. Thanks for the kind note wishing Mum a speedy recovery, that was a thoughtful gesture. Delicious, as ever.

I was glad I walked here for dinner instead of going for burgers at the newer, international-style conference hotel. This place felt properly local and Scottish.

I met a colleague here just to eat. The service was great, and the portions were decent and nicely presented. You can hear planes overhead, but that's to be expected this close to the airport.
