A peaceful walk or a bit of photography are great ways to enjoy Footdee (Fittie). The gardens and well-kept 19th-century cottages add to its lovely seaside feel, and there's plenty of history and interesting architecture to take in. Definitely worth a visit.

The hosts are fantastic, always helpful and easy to communicate with. We stayed for two weeks and they refreshed the linen at the end of the first week. The cottage is gorgeous and really comfortable, right in the heart of Footdee, with the harbour, beach and promenade just a short walk away. We've visited twice, once in winter and again in late August and early September. We love using it as a base to explore Aberdeen and beyond, or just relaxing in Footdee and chatting with the neighbours. I think we've finally figured out the Aga, which makes great toast and keeps the kitchen cosy. I've loved both visits and would happily stay again.
