The rooms could use an update, so I’d rate them three stars, but they’re priced very reasonably. The owner and staff were lovely and happy to help with anything. We had a lovely stay for a family celebration and I’d definitely come back.

The Sunday carvery was very good, and the soup for an extra £2 was a nice deal. Prices were reasonable, and the bar felt cozy. There’s a new owner, who was nice. I didn’t stay overnight, so I can’t comment on the accommodation.

We had a brilliant engagement party here. The bar and dance floor were great, and there were plenty of tables and chairs for everyone. The buffet was good, with food topped up when it ran low, and the team on the night were kind to our guests. The manager helped us get organised from the start. Afterwards, the staff even cleared away all the decorations, which we really appreciated the next day after a heavy night of drinking. Our guests loved the venue, and we’d recommend it for events with a large crowd.

The Melting Pot Collective play here on the third Friday of every month. The proprietor and staff are friendly and accommodating. I haven’t used the rooms, so I can’t assess them.
