Boreland Loch Tay

The hot tub was incredible, especially with the snow, and the beds were comfortable. The lodge was spotless and felt like a little home, with everything we needed. Staff were lovely and welcoming when we met them, and were clearing snow as we left. Our dog had a great time on the nearby walks too. We’ll definitely be back.

We got married here on 28th May 2026, and the staff were incredible. Special mention to Eve and Niall, who made everything run so smoothly. I can’t thank Boreland and the team enough for all their hospitality and care.

The location is beautiful, and Nial, the staff member on duty, was extremely helpful throughout our stay in The Cabin from 21-23 November. But several problems had a big impact on our visit. When we arrived, there was no heat in the cabin, the pipes were frozen and only a little firewood had been left. We checked in at 4:45pm, but the heating and water weren’t fixed until after 11pm. We spent most of the evening bundled up in coats, hats and gloves, unable to shower or flush the toilet. The next day, the oven and fridge weren’t working properly either. The cabin itself is lovely, but it didn’t seem checked or prepared for our arrival, especially in that weather, and it made our first night and the overall stay much worse. After we got home, we emailed about the problems and were told we’d receive £250 compensation. We still haven’t received it, and since then they’ve stopped responding to emails and voicemails. The views here are incredible, and somehow even bad weather seems not to exist. I’ve catered at Boreland Loch Tay many times, and the staff are always so welcoming and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble for them, big or small, and they handle it all with a smile. Everyone is fantastic, especially Emily, Andrew, Kirsty and of course Niall. Looking forward to working with you for the rest of the wedding season.
