The bed was comfortable with clean, crisp linen, and the location was good. The shower worked fine and had plenty of hot water. But the hotel was dated and in obvious need of renovation: shabby carpets and furniture, plus lights that didn't work in my room. There were lots of stairs, too, so it wouldn't suit guests with health or mobility issues. I was told at arrival that breakfast wasn't available, despite the online photos showing a breakfast room. In the room there were coffee sachets but no tea bags or spoons. It's very basic and just about okay for one budget night. The place is advertised as three stars, but I'd say one or two at most.
