We were really happy staying here for the night while my band was playing in London. Jay was welcoming, friendly, and incredibly helpful. The rooms are low cost and perfectly functional, and both our cars could park for free. We'd definitely stay again. Thanks!

Private parking was a huge help, and the tube station is only a few minutes away. We spent several nights at Anchor Hotel and were really pleased with the room and the people working there. The room was warm and the beds comfortable. Jay, the hotel manager, was always available and helpful, with a kind smile and a kind word. I fully recommend staying here.

The tube station is only a minute's walk away, which was the one good thing about the hotel. I stayed from the 17th November to 20th November 2025, and had to get a refund for the remaining night because I couldn't stay until my planned checkout on 21st November. I found bugs in the bed and had bites on my arms and legs. The en suite was ridiculously small, with a tiny, child-sized wash basin. The shower drain was blocked with hair and other debris, so the water backed up and flooded the floor. I won't return, and I'd pay more to stay somewhere with better facilities.

We found bedbugs in our clothes and had to throw them out, then had to find another hotel late at night. It was stressful and inconvenient, and the whole trip was my most disappointing one yet. The room looked completely different from the pictures on Booking.com: there were three different-sized beds, and every mattress was extremely hard. When I raised the problems in the middle of the night, the owner just said, “You can cancel.” I cancelled three days ago and still haven't received a refund. They seem to care only about money, not the standard. I took some pictures.

The beds and mattresses were infested with bed bugs, and I had to cut my holiday short and travel 2.5 hours home. When I handed in the keys, I demanded my full refund immediately after staff had promised to return it the next morning. They knew about the infestation but didn't take proper action. Their talk of “regular pest control” is misleading, since the problem seems widespread and ongoing. Guests risk being bitten and carrying the infestation home. A proper treatment would mean replacing or thoroughly treating all affected beds and furnishings, yet people are still being allowed to stay. This is a serious health and safety concern, not just a disappointing stay. Avoid this hotel. ⚠️
