James looked after us so kindly while my husband and I had afternoon tea and cocktails in the reception area for my birthday. We weren’t staying at the hotel, which made his warm, genuine service feel especially thoughtful. That kind of unpretentious hospitality is rare in such a beautiful place. I’d consider staying here on a future visit.

For my birthday, my dream of staying at the St Pancras finally came true as a surprise, and it lived up to it. The restoration is amazing. Knowing how the place was treated in the British Rail days makes it almost hard to believe so many grand original features are still here. There’s character, history, and style everywhere you look. For my money, it’s the best railway hotel in the UK, and it made a perfect weekend stay for this hexagenarian. We were also right by our Eurostar to Brussels. Nice!

That grand staircase is worth seeing, it’s a real architectural masterpiece. We loved our stay: the room was elegant, the welcome warm, and the service impeccable. A beautiful hotel, highly recommended if it fits your budget.

The main drawback was housekeeping. Shower gel and hand wash weren’t replenished automatically, and the bed sheets didn’t seem to have been cleaned properly. I support sustainability efforts, but there should still be suitable intervals for changing sheets. One time, after I asked for a change, I came back to find the clean sheets left on the table, which wasn’t what I’d expected and left me confused. Apart from that, we had a pleasant stay. We spent four nights here in December 2025. The historic building is lovely, with spacious, comfortable rooms that felt homely to return to after a busy day. The location is especially handy for Eurostar, since the station is integrated into the same building. Reception gave us a very warm welcome. I hope housekeeping improves, as the hotel has the makings of a great London stay.
