Star Hotel Bed & Breakfast

There are a couple of things to know about this renovated Victorian house. The walls are thin, and a gap under the room doors lets in conversations and stair noise. The motion sensor light on the stairs also shines underneath. I’d suggest fitting weather or insulation strips to close the gap. Still, we had a lovely stay and I’d definitely return. The staff were kind and accommodating, made sure we had what we needed, and checked in before we left to see if we’d enjoyed ourselves. Our room was as expected for the price and thoroughly cleaned, even without us asking. The location is great for pubs, food spots, and a Tesco. Several bus stops are nearby, and Hammersmith Broadway Station is walkable if you enjoy a stroll.

The staff made sure we were comfortable, and the rooms were luxurious and spotlessly clean. Service and attention to detail were impeccable, with top-notch amenities and a perfect location for exploring the city. Every moment felt special. I’d definitely return and can’t recommend it highly enough.

For London, it was good value for money, though breakfast wasn’t included, which I’d expect from a B&B. The hotel was clean, but there was a smell I didn’t like when I walked in, and it lingered throughout my stay, probably from the detergent used on the bedsheets. It’s on a busy road, and frequent sirens made it hard to sleep on the first night. The wardrobe was positioned so high that it was literally inaccessible.

For less than £100 for one night, this little hotel is hard to beat. It’s under 10 minutes from the tube, theatres, and Hammersmith Broadway. My room was small but comfortable, clean, and had everything I needed. The bathroom was small too, but spotless, with nice towels and toiletries, and perfectly adequate. There’s no lift, so stairs could be a problem if you can’t manage them.
