Sarah and Paul make us feel so welcome every time. We come back each year because the stay is always comfortable and amazing. A great place to stay in the area.

The hosts were welcoming and helpful, and breakfast was really good. We all enjoyed our two nights here as a family of four. The rooms were comfortable, with lovely views over the hills from the house and garden, the same hills we went hiking in. We'd happily recommend staying here.

Paul, Sarah, and their boys were impeccable hosts, and we'd love to come back. The farm sits below sugar loaf mountain, with spectacular views and plenty of room to enjoy the day. A perfect getaway or city break ✨

I booked three nights and ended up staying six because I liked the place so much. It’s peaceful, set in a scenic river valley, and convenient for walks, pubs, and local attractions. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and guests can use the ground-floor family lounge. Sarah and Paul are excellent hosts, and breakfast comes with valley views from the dining room.

We spent a quiet evening on the patio with a drink, looking out at the view while house martins flew around and sheep bleated in the surrounding fields. The family has a friendly, well-behaved dog, Pip, so mention it if you'd rather not meet the dog at reception. They ask guests to leave shoes there because the carpets are new. Our top-floor room had sloping ceilings, which may mean ducking by the windows and in the bathroom if you're tall. The house is a lovely small family-run B&B, with great views from the rooms and patio. It’s about 20 minutes from Abergavenny town centre and Llanthony Priory, five minutes up a steep hill from St Issui's church, and Crick Howell is also a manageable drive. The hosts made us comfortable and were keen to help. Breakfast choices included a full Welsh, a vegetarian full breakfast with veggie sausages and hash brown, or smoked salmon with scrambled eggs. I can vouch for the vegetarian and salmon options, both were delicious. There’s also a small continental-style buffet with toast, cereal, fruit, yoghurt, tomato and brown sauce. Tea comes in a pot and coffee in a cafetiere. I wasn't keen on sharing the dining table with other guests or the crockery being set on slate placemats. The living room is shared too. We had a small problem getting the bedroom door to lock, and the toilet seat was a bit loose, but the other amenities were fine.
