The owners are a lovely, helpful couple, and there are peaceful walks through the deep woodland around the place. Getting there takes care, though. Don't follow Satnav or Google Maps. The better way is from Abegele towards the Hospital, then through the hospital grounds and along the signs for Ramblers Retreat. Expect a narrow, winding road that calls for Swiss-style driving. We'd return if we get the chance.

The hospitality was wonderful, and it's the most beautiful place I've visited in North Wales 😍
