The Sunday Roast was good value, with a lovely atmosphere and great service. The beef was especially delicious, and the sides were tasty and served in generous portions.

We booked at the last minute, and they were really accommodating. The manager was lovely and made both our dogs feel welcome, as she's a dog lover. Our room was cosy and even had a Firestick. We all had a lovely stay and will definitely be back.

We had Sunday lunch and it was amazing. The meat was so tender it melted in your mouth. The new chef has done a great job, and the bar staff were on the ball. They were training someone too, but the service was still spot on. We'll definitely come back and highly recommend it. Sue and Mark

We visited on Friday 7th November and Sunday 9th November. It's a nice pub, but there was no heating on either day and no fire lit, so we had to sit in coats and scarves. It should be warm in November, and I'm worried about what it'll be like in December. Also, when someone asks for a spirit with a mixer on the side, please let the customer add the mixer themselves instead of pouring it in.

The room was a good size, and the location and large car park were ideal. But there seemed to be a serious rodent problem in the roof. I could hear scratching and scurrying constantly, and the noise woke me at 5am on both mornings. The shower drain in room 3 was also blocked or slow: after less than a minute of showering, the bathroom was close to flooding, so I had to keep turning the water off. Worst of all, staff seemed to hold an after-hours gathering in the courtyard, singing, smoking and making a lot of noise until after midnight, although the pub closes at 9pm. It was very inconsiderate, especially since they knew guests were paying £100 a night.
