We’ve stayed here three times for work, and it’s always been clean and tidy. It’s a budget hotel, so there aren’t any thrills, but the bed is comfy and it’s a decent place to put your head down. For the price, you can’t really do better.

The night’s sleep was ruined by heavy footsteps overhead. From 2am until 7am, there was constant stomping and pacing from the room above, with no soundproofing at all. Check-in had already been a shambles, taking over 20 minutes despite there being no queue, and the service was painfully slow and disorganized. At Travelodge Great Yarmouth, during our February stay, the room initially looked alright, but it stank of overpowering cheap bleach, like school corridors. It didn’t feel fresh or welcoming. Absolutely terrible experience.

It was fine for a night's kip. The only issue was a damp, musty smell in the corridors and room. It may have been down to the terrible wet weather we’d had for more than a month.

The room was actually alright, though every toilet flush made a terrible noise that must have carried into both neighboring rooms. During our roughly 16-hour stay, we spoke to just one staff member, the receptionist, and even that conversation was minimal. At first she was out of sight around the back. When she asked for our car registration, she was abrupt and very to the point. She handed over the key, and I thought she said 23, but she meant 26, pronounced “twentysex.” We couldn’t understand her. Absolutely appalling.

The hotel was quiet, and I had a good night’s sleep. The staff were great, friendly and really helpful. The location worked well for what we needed, and there was a fab pub close by.
