We’ll keep coming back, this was our second stay, because I can relax and trust the team with my children’s food allergies. The chefs made lovely dishes for the different allergies without compromising on taste, and the waiters took care to keep our orders safe. They thought through details like the ice and glasses and a pizza cutter to reduce the risk. I’m sure there was more happening in the kitchen that we couldn’t see. It’s hard for us to find somewhere we can trust like this, and I’m truly grateful. The staff are amazing, and they even had our room ready earlier than expected. They went above and beyond to make our stay great. Thank you. You should be teaching other hotels and restaurants how to help customers with food allergies. And if you have breakfast, try the toasted French brioche, it’s delicious! The location is brilliant too: it’s about 25 minutes from Manchester and around 40 minutes from the Peak District, so it’s easy to get into the city and great for a hike. The room had a couple of problems, though. The lighting was very dark, it was cold, and the heating wasn’t working. We had an electric heater, but it didn’t do the job. We were in room 12.

The food was very nice, but the service wasn’t great. We had five different waiters, and after we’d ordered, my pasta turned out to be unavailable. When the manager asked if there was something else I’d like, I asked to see the menu and whether anything else was unavailable. We’d already been told two items were off the menu. We were shown to a small table, and the starter arrived after ten minutes.

We needed somewhere to stay near Tatton Park, and this worked perfectly. It was easy to reach, with plenty of parking in a quiet location. The hotel was clean and nicely decorated, and the staff were really friendly and welcoming. Our family room had a huge bed, and we all slept comfortably and well.

They contacted us before our stay to explain there was no hot water because of a burst pipe. We could have cancelled, but chose to keep our booking, and they adjusted the room price to account for the inconvenience. The room was clean and warm, had all the facilities we needed, and a comfortable bed. The location was lovely, close to Alderley Edge shops. We had a very nice stay at the Merlin, Alderley Edge, from start to finish. We’d booked the wine and dine menu, and both the food and staff were amazing. Megan, Jemma and Brad were friendly, polite and professional while serving us food and drinks. Gary welcomed us when we arrived, and all the staff were excellent. Breakfast was delicious. Thank you!
